Answer
For a home poker game with 10 players, you have a couple of options for poker tables:
- Folding poker table: A folding poker table is a convenient and portable option. It can accommodate up to 10 players and usually comes with built-in cup holders, chip trays, and a padded rail for player comfort. When the game is over, you can easily fold the table and store it away.
- Poker table top: If you already have a large dining room table, you can purchase a poker table top that can be placed on top of your existing table. These table tops are designed to accommodate up to 10 players and typically feature a felt playing surface, padded rails, and built-in cup holders and chip trays. After the game, you can simply remove the table top and store it away.
- Custom-built poker table: If you’re looking for a more permanent solution and are willing to invest in a high-quality poker table, consider having a custom-built poker table designed to your specifications. A custom poker table can be tailored to fit your space and style preferences and can include features such as a professional-grade playing surface, padded rails, built-in cup holders, chip trays, and even LED lighting.
When selecting a poker table for your home game, consider factors such as the available space, your budget, and the frequency with which you plan to host poker games. While folding poker tables and table tops are more affordable and portable, a custom-built table may offer a higher quality playing experience and can be a more attractive addition to your home.
Actually round tables are probably best. If you have an oval poker table like you see on TV it can be difficult to use unless you have a person who is willing to deal the whole time. Oval tables are tricky to use if you rotate the deal, because at some point someone on the very end is trying to deal the cards to the opposite end of the table.
You might want to look on eBay. There was some guy making felt covers with an elasticated underside that cling to regular tables to make a poker table. Or consider a table topper.
